Merry Riana Education Achieves MURI Record as the Public Speaking Training Institution with the Most Participants in Indonesia

At the beginning of 2024, Merry Riana warmly welcomed Mr. Hermanto Tanoko (Tan Corp) as a Strategic Investor in Merry Riana Education (MRE). This marks a significant first step in MRE’s journey towards a future Initial Public Offering (IPO). Towards the end of 2024, Merry Riana Education successfully broke a MURI (Indonesian World Records Museum) record as the Public Speaking Training Institution with the highest number of participants in Indonesia, reaching an impressive total of 27,508 participants.

The award was presented directly by Mr. Triyono, General Manager of MURI, to Merry Riana, Founder of Merry Riana Education. The ceremony was witnessed by the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Mr. Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), and distinguished guest Mr. Mochtar Riady, Founder of the Lippo Group. Addressing thousands of participants, Minister AHY delivered a keynote speech that called on all attendees to collaborate for the nation's advancement, united by the vision of achieving Golden Indonesia 2045.

Merry Riana Education is committed to contributing to Indonesia’s education sector through soft skills training programs, with a particular focus on Public Speaking. These programs are delivered through various formats, including Youth Camps, Regular Classes at dozens of Merry Riana Learning Centres, online classes, private coaching, and collaborations with schools and other educational institutions. Using the specially designed Experiential Learning Technologies™ (ELT) method developed by Merry Riana, the programs aim to create a learning experience that is both enjoyable and impactful.

In addition, at the same event, Merry Riana also received an award from the Indonesian Professional Speaker Association (IPSA), which was personally presented by Mr. Donny De Keizer (Chairman of IPSA). This award was given in recognition of Merry Riana’s outstanding contributions to the development and empowerment of communities in the field of Public Speaking. These achievements reflect the public’s enthusiasm and trust in the training institution founded by Merry Riana, as well as the continued relevance and real impact of the programs offered.

Merry Riana expressed her gratitude for the various awards she received, stating, “This is a great motivation for us to continue growing and making an even greater impact,” during a press conference following the MURI award ceremony.
