The 2025 Chinese New Year celebration was special with a strong atmosphere of tolerance. Close to the Isra Mi'raj commemoration, this moment is an opportunity for friendship across generations and backgrounds. Merry Riana, accompanied by her husband Alva Tjenderasa, met with the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), Coordinating Minister for Economic and Regional Infrastructure Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), and Annisa Pohan at the Vasa Hotel Surabaya, Tuesday (28/1/2025). Also present was the extended family of a conglomerate entrepreneur from Surabaya, Mr. Hermanto Tanoko, who is also a Strategic Investor from Merry Riana Education.

Before the Chinese New Year celebration, Merry Rianawho is also Special Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Developmenttogether with the SBY and AHY families, also watched the joint volleyball match between Lavani Livin Transmedia against Surabaya Samator at DBL Arena Surabaya, Sunday (26/1/2025). Lavani managed to emerge victorious in the match.

The closeness between SBY and Merry Riana has been going on for a long time. SBY also gave positive comments in the Mega Best Seller book'Merry Riana :Million Dollar Dream'.According to SBY, Indonesia needs an inspirational figure like Merry Riana.
